A lasting legacy: For 40 years The Villages has provided family style homes to children and youth who need both support and structure. The Villages homes are just that, big family style homes with highly trained and experienced house parents who actually live with the children.

From the beginning The Villages staff has implemented Dr. Karl Menninger's philosophy that even very troubled children need a family setting to heal, to change dangerous habits, to begin addressing the hurt they may have caused others. They need an environment that is supportive, predictable and safe.

The Villages house parents provide these essential components. Unlike a shift staff model, youth at The Villages experience the consistency of relationship with house parents who live with them. Villages YRCII group homes have house parents who continually model appropriate family and community interactions for the youth who live with them.

View or print a one page short description of The Villages' program. Can be provided to youth's family, lawyer, judge. A two sided brochure is also available for download or printing.
