The Villages Special Friend program matches adult volunteers with individual children. These exceptional volunteers play a vital role in the life of the child they work with. They spend time with a child on a regular basis, usually just a couple of hours a week, and make the child a part of their life.

Be an Independent Living Mentor

These special volunteers are matched with youth preparing to move out on their own. They help youth get a good start in the world by working with them on life skills such as balancing a checkbook, finding an apartment, shopping on a budget, etc.

Adopt a Child for the Holidays

Every child deserves to have a happy holiday. Individuals and groups are needed to help us provide our children with presents. We will supply you with a child's wish list and you can decide which gifts you'd like to provide.

Become a Foster Parent

The Villages needs foster parents interested in providing a loving home to children ages 0 to 18. If you have a gift for caring, you could make the difference in the life of a child by providing a safe, stable and loving home. We provide our foster parents with competitive reimbursement rates, training and many other ongoing support services.

Make a Donation to Help Kids

Private support allows The Villages to make sure every child has appropriate clothing to wear, has the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities like sports, band, academic clubs and other community organizations, receives a birthday cake and present on their birthday, is able to experience the same summer fun vacation memories other children do, as well as providing additional services like tutoring, mentoring and driver's education training.
