JOB TITLE: Program Specialist
LINE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible to the Director of the assigned program
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The incumbent works closely with the residential Director to help monitor the program and ensure safety and security protocols are followed. They also build supportive relationships with residents, provide transportation, and help make sure daily chores and responsibilities are taken care of.
DUTIES:
E = essential function, M = marginal function
1. Establishes and maintains professional relationships with residents. (E)
2. Ensures the safety and security of the house by following security protocols and by reporting concerns. Sets alarm at designated time, as necessary. (E)
3. Reports any behavior concerns to the Program Director. (E)
4. Reports any maintenance concerns to the Facility Director. (E)
5. Follows security protocols and makes sure all doors are locked. (E)
6. Participates with the residents in positive leisure time activities and age-appropriate social events in the community as directed by the supervisor. (E)
7. Dispenses supplies to residents upon request. Ensure they submit supply requisition forms on designated days. (E)
8. Maintains knowledge of and ensures residents follow expectations in the handbook, including curfew and meal attendance, etc. (E)
9. Assists with transportation to appointments and/or other activities off campus. (M)
10. Supervises residents when they prepare meals. (E)
11. Ensures that residents complete their house chores and other assigned tasks. (E)
12. Performs room checks as necessary for safety and cleanliness. (E)
13. Participates in weekly house meetings with residents. (E)
14. Attends all required meetings, required trainings, or other meetings as needed. (E)
15. Maintains appropriate, satisfactory, and harmonious relationships with the public, co-workers, other employees, and residents. (E)
16. Follows all guidance provided in the Policy and Procedure Manual and other documents outlining policy, procedure, and/or protocol. (E)

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED: Must be 21years of age and have graduated from high school or completed a GED diploma. Must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar youth residential setting or an associate’s degree. Pass KBI and CANIS background checks and such other checks as the Chief Executive Officer may require. Must have a valid Kansas driver’s license, a good driving record, and be insurable by The Villages’ insurance company. Able to lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds. Able to easily navigate two flights of stairs.

JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: CMA (Certified Medication Aide)
LINE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible to the Lead Nurse
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The incumbent assists in the delivery of health services to youth admitted to the Juvenile Stabilization Center (JSC). Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Certified Medication Aide (CMA) administers medications, observes and reports changes in youths' conditions, assists with health-related documentation, and supports a safe, therapeutic environment for youth experiencing behavioral health crises.
The CMA supports the facility’s mission by promoting youth safety, wellness, stabilization, and recovery while maintaining compliance with applicable state regulations and agency policies. This position operates in a residential setting serving youth in crisis. It may require responding to behavioral emergencies, aggressive behaviors, self-harm incidents, exposure to communicable diseases, and other high-stress situations requiring sound judgment and rapid decision-making.
Duties:

1. Assists nursing staff with admissions, vital signs, and medication reconciliation as directed by the nurse. (E)
2. Participates in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities. (M)
3. Administers and documents medications according to physician orders and facility policy. (E)
4. Observes youth for medication effectiveness and adverse reactions. (E)
5. Observes and reports signs of illness, injury, intoxication, withdrawal, self-harm, suicide risk, violence, or elopement risk. (E)
6. Ensures the Five Rights of Medication Administration are followed. (E)
7. Participates in emergency response activities as directed. (E)
8. Maintains confidentiality and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. (E)
9. Follows infection control, safety, and emergency preparedness procedures. (E)
10. Monitors medical supplies and medication inventory. (M)
11. Communicates significant findings to the LPN, RN, provider, and treatment team. (E)
12. Supports orientation and training of new staff as assigned. (M)
13. Maintains confidentiality and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. (E)

Qualifications:
Required:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in good standing in the State of Kansas.
· Must be at least 21 years of age.
· Must successfully pass KBI, CANIS, and any other background checks required by the organization.
· Valid Kansas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to be insured under the organization’s insurance policy.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and navigate stairs throughout the workday.
· Ability to respond quickly to medical, behavioral, and safety emergencies, including participation in approved crisis intervention activities.
Preferred:
· Experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, juvenile services, corrections, crisis stabilization, long-term care, or pediatric settings.
· Current CPR certification.

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in collaboration with medical and behavioral health providers, the LPN assists in the assessment, monitoring, treatment, and coordination of healthcare services for youth experiencing behavioral health crises. The LPN supports the facility's mission by promoting youth safety, wellness, stabilization, and recovery while maintaining compliance with applicable state regulations, agency policies, and professional nursing standards. This position operates in a residential setting serving youth in crisis. It may require responding to behavioral emergencies, aggressive behaviors, self-harm incidents, exposure to communicable diseases, and other high-stress situations requiring sound judgment and rapid decision-making.

Qualifications:
Required:
